  2. Hello Team,

One of the main priorities for the customer is to be able to amortize their reservation costs (OpenSearch) in this case. The customer went through CUR backfill and would like to be able to see those costs amortized.

Currently this is not supported, and they will only be able to use amortized cost reporting going forward on their new data.

The ask would be to enable Amortized Cost reporting on historical data, so the customer can benefit from this feature as soon as they get access to it within Navigator regardless the data being a historical backfill.

    Kind…

  3. Additionally, the DoiT budget report doesn't include taxes, while our AWS budget does. Could it be possible to customize the configuration to include taxes in the budget cost?

  4. DCI should be able to provide recommendations based on Anomaly status in the Anomaly acknowledgement flow.

One such use case is customer acknowledge an anomaly with: "No, this wasn't an anomaly" . System can check notification settings to see if this customer has configuration to suppress the anomalies based on severity or cost threshold. If not, we can make such recommendations to the customer or send notifications so that they can avoid such noise in the future.

  5. When splitting a shared cost (eg. "Shared Infrastructure" grouping) by other Attributions (eg. "Product 1" and "Product 2"), customer would like to be able to show only part of the result in a report.

At the moment it is not possible to build a report that combines eg. 30% of "Shared Infrastructure" with "Product 1" and shows the cost of only this. It is only possible to designate a full 100% split of "Shared Infrastructure" and the report must show each Attribution included in the split.

  6. Every project that was billed in an invoice should stay as is in the reports, regardless of the current sate of the billing profile and accounts/projects assigned to.

Currently, when using the "Invoice" chip, one needs to select the invoice bucket/billing profile. If a project/account has been removed in the meantime, even when selecting time range when project/account xxx was present - it does not show in the report, as the Invoice filter takes into account only projects/account already present in the billing prifle/invoice bucket

  7. "Limit by value" should have an option to aggregate remaining costs just like the "Limit by top/bottom" does. Otherwise the total cost does not add up as expected.

  8. When running a report with a specific label, report results no longer include Flexsave Negation.

It was found that discounts (ex. Flexsave negation) cannot be tagged. Hence, the report only pulls the cost and not the savings.

It is important to be able to see savings at a more granular level and to include labels. See ticket 233101 for additional details.

  9. If you're going to provide lambda/policy/eventbridge config to organize OUs automatically when FlexSave accounts are added to the org, you might as well provide some IAC (terraform/cloudformation) to deploy it.
    Thanks

  10. Customers would like to have the option to receive multiple notifications (cost anomaly notification) on cost anomalies once the initial one is detected, but costs keep rising.
Eg. if the cost anomaly is detected at $1000, the customer would like to see additional notifications sent out if the cost anomaly rises even further (after certain thresholds).

  11. When you create some object in the DCI UI also create CLI or API code in a side panel. This would make it easier to generate code to automate processes. An even better outcome would be is if Ava could be auto-prompted by the creation of some object where it generates a template of code based on the UI logic to be automated.

  12. Today, the template used to notify custom alerts threshold does not contain enough details for a customer to be actionable and useful. The customer ideally wants the same level of information than the cost anomalies notification on the main slack channel

  14. When a customer selects to have split invoices for every AWS MP purchase, it will recognize Claude as a MP purchase and create separate billing for multiple services under Claude when in reality it should just come under the usage.

  16. Not sure if this would be feasible, but when creating an Attribution, we can only use data from the "Billing Data" source.

What if we can also create attributions from different data sources, such as "BQ Lens"?

  17. Customer would like to receive invoices that are in line with their split cost reporting, rather than broken down by account. They would like to be able to generate invoices that include % of shared costs like this have in this report.
    Eg. https://console.doit.com/customers/GnnFMff9PzV9jH1UueMA/analytics/reports/IZ9C0e3zL44ki0PZ0dES

The only option for custom invoices is custom invoice buckets, which is still account-based meaning that accounts with split costs cannot be divided between different invoices.

  18. We should implement an easy way to open a ticket with a CRE from a cost anomaly page like we do with Insights.

Just like a customer might want to review an Insight with a CRE to go over whether its relevant in the context of their business / strategy, a customer might want to troubleshoot an anomaly with a CRE.

I’d bet there have already been situations where a customer opened a ticket to review a detected anomaly with a CRE.

Could also be a good up-sell for Essentials customers as well, who have anomaly detection but don't have…

  19. When we create projects in GCP, all projects that we create end up in the same billing bucket in the DoiT console. It would be great if we could set up some rules / configuration on the DoiT side to organize projects into different billing buckets based on the GCP project labels / tags. If that was possible, then it's easy for us to just label the projects we create appropriately in our Terraform. Lacking that, even enabling us to manage billing bucket project allocations via your REST API would be preferable to manually assigning projects.

  20. Customer would like to have the ability to rename their AWS assets from the DoiT Cloud Navigator.
They understand that it would technically be easier to edit these directly in each account's AWS Console, but they work in a decentralised fashion with several different teams/companies managing each of these accounts, making it very difficult for them to edit these in practice, so they would like to have the ability to change/rename their AWS assets from the DoiT Cloud Navigator.
