AVA in Customer Shared Channels
We recently had a request from a customer to get provider costs over slack similar to what Amazon Q provides on the AWS console but for slack.
I think it would be great for customers to have the ability to tag AVA on their shared slack channel and ask questions such as:
"How much have I spent on account xxxx in the past 30 days?"More details and Ofir's opinion here:

Interactive dashboard UI
Interactive UI, similar to CHT or Vantage that lets you click on a service and automatically show you the drill down if the consumption. In addition, the reporting shows your current consumption vs last months exact time frame.

Carbon Footprint data integrations
With the newly introduced DataHub, it would be great if we could provide connectors for easy ingestion of cloud sustainability data:
- AWS: https://aws.amazon.com/blogs/aws-cloud-financial-management/increased-visibility-of-your-carbon-emissions-data-with-aws-customer-carbon-footprint-tool/
- GCP: https://cloud.google.com/carbon-footprint/docs/export
This functionality would allow allocation and visualization of sustainability data behind a single pane of glass within DoiT Navigator.
(This idea supports the implementation of https://uservoice.doit.com/forums/957092-doit-cloud-navigator/suggestions/48342290-support-cloud-carbon-footprint-reporting.)

Advanced logic for Budget notifications
Today budget alerts are send when the actual percent of the budget is consumed. In order to reduce false alarms, it would be great if there would be an option to only send the alert if the projected cost of the budget will reach 100%.
For example, if I have a budget alert set to 50% and the predicted spend will not reach 100% this month the alert will not be sent.2 votes -
Annotating Reports to Add Context to Cost Dips/Spikes
Customer wishes they could annotate reports in the console so they can mark which month eg. they made a specific change in their infrastructure. This way dips or spikes that were expected could be clarified in reports with a little note.

Sending Alerts to Slack channels
Customers would like to be able to send their alerts to either the shared Slack Channel and/or their own Slack channels
2 votesThis is possible via Zapier. However, we are looking into a more native way to achieve this.

Invoices that Mirror Attribution Groups/Cost Splitting
Customer would like to receive invoices that are in line with their split cost reporting, rather than broken down by account. They would like to be able to generate invoices that include % of shared costs like this have in this report.
Eg. https://console.doit.com/customers/GnnFMff9PzV9jH1UueMA/analytics/reports/IZ9C0e3zL44ki0PZ0dESThe only option for custom invoices is custom invoice buckets, which is still account-based meaning that accounts with split costs cannot be divided between different invoices.

DoiT Console Audit Trail
Customers have related to me that they would like to be able to review changes made to anything in the console - especially things like Billing Profiles.
We should implement an AuditTrail function that shows all of this with TimeStamps and User IDs1 vote -
Console should retain login for longer
When I go to the Console, it requires that I log in again. I think it times out after a day. Other apps, including secure ones, allow much more time before timing out.
Some apps are transactional, so you log in occasionally to perform specific tasks. But if we want to have a true "console" it needs to be convenient and available.
1 voteHello - this is our way to re-authenticate users who've been authenticated with SSO/Google/Microsoft periodically. The reason it is needed is because in case a user is removed from the SSO IdP/Google/Microsoft by the organization we don't want him to remain active in our Console.

Advanced & Assisted Cloud Forecasts
Customers have requested a tool that would help them to better forecast their costs, based partially on the history (which we already have) with the ability to adjust, such as:
- simulate a cost optimisation across specific workloads / projects / accounts of 10% per month over 3 months.
- simulate deployment of new services at different times in the next year. e.g. we know we'll deploy a thing that costs $10k/month and grow to $20k over a few months.1 vote -
Ramp Plan for non resold vendors
Creating Ramp Plans for non resold commitments. We have a direct commitment with Google, and would be great if we can track our progress against the commitment in DoiT.

Unified Budget and Forecast Report with Growth Factor
Can we consider a forecast that includes budget, actual spend and forecast all in one report? Customers will then have the ability to track their current spend, see the forecasted spend with budget mapped across both spend metrics.
Customers should also have the option to filter forecasted and actual spend by service and attribution. Lastly the ability to create a growth factor by month/quarter to incorporate future projects in the forecast will be key for the majority of FinOps users

Add button to review anomaly with CRE (similar to Insights)
We should implement an easy way to open a ticket with a CRE from a cost anomaly page like we do with Insights.
Just like a customer might want to review an Insight with a CRE to go over whether its relevant in the context of their business / strategy, a customer might want to troubleshoot an anomaly with a CRE.
I’d bet there have already been situations where a customer opened a ticket to review a detected anomaly with a CRE.
Could also be a good up-sell for Essentials customers as well, who have anomaly detection but don't have…

Include tax & support charges in forecast
Make the forecast on the pulse and lens dashboards include tax and support.
I'm not sure it does that already and it always adds an extra large chunk on top of whatever was forecasted.

Enable Attribution Groups in Alerts
Today, I can't scope an Alert to an attribution group — only attributions. However, I think there's a compelling use case.
If I create an attribution group "Engineering Team" I might want to set an alert that then monitors for each individual team in that Attribution Group with the optional "Evaluate for each" setting. Today I can't do that. Instead I have to create an alert for each attribution.
Here's a video explaining my logic further. https://www.loom.com/share/9937b4dc51914bd08f9075b06c8e989c?sid=2e30b2b8-bbb1-438e-be58-610bb10bdc95

Fill the monthly forecast for current month in AWS/GCP Lens
Eg. the month of October shows now only the actual spend and November is the forecast.
Ideally, from a monitoring point of view, it would be nice if the month of October could be filled on top with the forecast to see it nicely per month.1 vote
