  1. Can we consider a forecast that includes budget, actual spend and forecast all in one report? Customers will then have the ability to track their current spend, see the forecasted spend with budget mapped across both spend metrics.

    Customers should also have the option to filter forecasted and actual spend by service and attribution. Lastly the ability to create a growth factor by month/quarter to incorporate future projects in the forecast will be key for the majority of FinOps users

  3. We should implement an easy way to open a ticket with a CRE from a cost anomaly page like we do with Insights.

    Just like a customer might want to review an Insight with a CRE to go over whether its relevant in the context of their business / strategy, a customer might want to troubleshoot an anomaly with a CRE.

    I’d bet there have already been situations where a customer opened a ticket to review a detected anomaly with a CRE.

    Could also be a good up-sell for Essentials customers as well, who have anomaly detection but don't have…

  4. Make the forecast on the pulse and lens dashboards include tax and support.

    I'm not sure it does that already and it always adds an extra large chunk on top of whatever was forecasted.

  5. Today, I can't scope an Alert to an attribution group — only attributions. However, I think there's a compelling use case.

    If I create an attribution group "Engineering Team" I might want to set an alert that then monitors for each individual team in that Attribution Group with the optional "Evaluate for each" setting. Today I can't do that. Instead I have to create an alert for each attribution.

  7. Eg. the month of October shows now only the actual spend and November is the forecast.
    Ideally, from a monitoring point of view, it would be nice if the month of October could be filled on top with the forecast to see it nicely per month.

  8. Most customer environment either as a value for the "Name" tag or in the resource name contain a piece of info about the deployment stage of that resource (i.e. "prod", "test", "sandbox").

    It would be great if we could have a default attribution that looks for "prod" string (case insensitive) in resource names and name tag values. Also another attribution that looks for "test" or "stage" or "sandbox". This 2 Attributions could then be combined in an Attribution group available to all customers by default.

    While not perfect, this opinionated approach is a start to allow customers to derive hierarchy…

  9. Google provides a an API to access SKU Groups such as "Standard On-Demand VMs" or "Cloud Storage".

    By having Attributions (and further an overall Attribution Group), we could easily analyse spend based on these. It would be extremely helpful when preparing for GCP Commitments.

  11. Hello Team,

    a large customer would like to be able to run analytics for large amount of data utilizing the complexity of Attributions Groups (with over 8 Attributions) while adding extra granularity on Label, Service, Account levels.

    Currently reporting struggles whenever the above use cases are being run - resulting in error messages and long running load times. It would be important to enable this complexity to fit the need of larger customers with more complex business structures.

  15. When we create projects in GCP, all projects that we create end up in the same billing bucket in the DoiT console. It would be great if we could set up some rules / configuration on the DoiT side to organize projects into different billing buckets based on the GCP project labels / tags. If that was possible, then it's easy for us to just label the projects we create appropriately in our Terraform. Lacking that, even enabling us to manage billing bucket project allocations via your REST API would be preferable to manually assigning projects.

  16. Hello Team,

    One of the main priorities for the customer is to be able to amortize their reservation costs (OpenSearch) in this case. The customer went through CUR backfill and would like to be able to see those costs amortized.

    Currently this is not supported, and they will only be able to use amortized cost reporting going forward on their new data.

    The ask would be to enable Amortized Cost reporting on historical data, so the customer can benefit from this feature as soon as they get access to it within Navigator regardless the data being a historical backfill.

  17. Finance teams from various organizations may require a different date format on their invoices than the default one.
    Please introduce an option for organizations to select different date formats before an invoice is issued.

  18. Customer would like to be able to adjust reports vertically to make some reports larger in a dashboard. They would also like to display a single number, such as a health metric or total cloud cost, in a widget in a custom dashboard. This would make the dashboard tool more user-friendly and visually appealing.
